A Rich New Jersey Drum Corps Tradition
The Bushwackers Invitational has long been a staple of the mid-summer drum corps calendar in the Garden State. Hosted by the 6-time DCA Champions, the Bushwackers (who were originally founded right here in New Jersey back in 1981), this show brings together the absolute finest all-age drum corps on the East Coast.
Historically, the Invitational has served as a critical mid-season proving ground. For decades, it has been the place where corps push through their toughest summer rehearsals to debut major show adjustments, giving fans an intimate, high-energy look at the elite local drum corps culture. It is the absolute perfect stage for the legendary, rumba-rhythm style of the Hawthorne Caballeros Alumni to close out the night.
